Using my insomnia for something constructive
It's about 30 degrees in here, and the air feels like a steam sauna. I can't sleep. And for once I am using that insomnia for something other than freaking out over some work related stuff or worrying about heart matters. I am reading. Or shall I say: listening.3 people have asked me to read this book. It all started before Christmas with JC advicing me to read The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari when I during a program forum mentioned that I had lost "it" (i.e. my motivation, my inspiration and will). Then someone else mentioned it this spring, and now DrK told me to read it. And thanks to another brilliant advice of hers, storytel.se, I am now spellbound by the voice of Stefan Sauk reading this book by Robin Sharma.
(For 9 SEK I can listen to as much streamed audiobooks as I want to - from my phone or from my laptop. Capitol, dear Henry, capitol!)
Just took a short break to get some hot milk and chat a bit with A (who is also suffering from insomnia). Now, back to the monk (who's is just about to confide the secret behind what he learned from the sages of Sivana to his old colleague).
Peaceful Warrior, a movie from 2006 has some of the elements contained in this book ..
thanks for the movie tip - will keep that in mind
